Carlos Paz

This Satuday I took my first journey into the Sierra Mountains that border the west side of Cordoba. Only 35 minutes away by a $2 bus, Carlos Paz is small and tourist-y town.
The lake in the center of Carlos Paz. I wish my knee was better; we could have paddle boated.

I had to take the touristy photo.

Cool seats by the lake. It was nice to relax in the shade here.

We took a city bus tour and were provded these lovely hats.

A bigger lake. During the bus tour, we stopped at a alfajores factory/museum/shop. I love the afajores my madre makes, but these weren`t that good. Alfajores are kinda like sandwich cookies with dulce de leche in the middle and coconut or sprinkles rolled around the center.

Gauchos and Wedding Prep

In preparation for the wedding, they make crazy and very colorful foam hats here.

Mi Madre cuts foam for the hats. We spent a good four hours on the floor doing this yesterday.

The beautiful bride-to-be.

Where`s my flash when I need it?? A gaucho (Argentine cowboy) with his caballos.

The cutest little Argentine boys at the Fiesta de la Doma.

Friends at the Fiesta de la Doma.

I spent a good long while sawing off a prong on my computer cord so it could work with my adaptor.
