Mendoza: Land of Wine and the Andes Mountains

Day One: I spent a beautiful day in the Maipu winery area where I biked to 5 different wineries. I ended the long day with an asado with my hostel that night.

Camera timer picture with the biggest barrel of wine I´ve ever seen!

Vineyard Uno. The tree-lined roads made for a beautiful bike ride

The posh-est I´ve ever seen Argentina be.

Last stop of the day: Liquers, chocolates and dulces factory! The green one is Absynth...it was gross and kinda a let down.

Dancing and singing karaoke at the hostel after the asado.Bartenders.New friends from Holland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Day 2: Rafting and a starlight trail ride through the Andes followed by an asado with the gauchos and new friends.Check out my awesome gaucho sweater.
Day 3: High Mountains Tour. I took an amazing trip through the Andes, ending at Parque Nacional Aconcagua, home of Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the western hemisphere.
I wish these pictures could justify the sheer beauty of these places, but they just don´t. One of the persons I met on the trip, however, made a beautiful point: What makes the experience of visiting and hiking so special is that it can´t be replicated through anything else!

Can you see the peak of Aconcagua? It´s on the left hidden in clouds!
